Late July Oscar Predictions

It is now late July, and the first of the major Oscar contenders, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, is enjoying a strong opening weekend, which is helping it’s Oscar buzz. There is also a new front runner this week, Detroit has over taken Darkest Hour as the film most likely to take Best Picture. But it is still early days and anything could happen. confusing categories to predict. This week I’ve started the predictions from Original Song, which is one of the most  Next month, many countries will start announcing their submissions for Foreign Language Film, which means we’ll actually have an idea of which films can be in the running. Until then, these are the predicted nominees.
